CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION — SpaceX successfully launched its Falcon 9 rocket for the Transporter-5 mission, sending nearly 60 spacecraft into orbit on Wednesday afternoon.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at Space Launch Complex 40.
Liftoff happened at 2:35 p.m. EDT.
The 45th Weather Squadron gave an 80% chance of favorable weather for the launch.
The Falcon 9 rocket’s first-stage booster has been used for other missions, like the Crew-1, Crew-2 and Transporter-4 launches.
Once the stage separation happens on Wednesday afternoon’s mission, the Falcon 9 rocket will land on the ground, at Landing Zone 1 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Because it landed on land, a sonic boom was heard.
The mission
The Transporter-5 sent 59 spacecraft to low-Earth orbit.
“Transporter-5 is SpaceX’s fifth dedicated smallsat rideshare mission. On this flight are 59 spacecraft, including CubeSats, microsats, non-deploying hosted payloads, and orbital transfer vehicles,” the private company explained.
