Smoke was reportedly coming from the egg room, but thanks to a firewall between the chicken and the egg room, the chickens were safe.

“I haven't seen a fire in this area ever and I don't know if it is a natural fire or someone set it on fire, I just hope there is no ill intent really," said Russel Smedley, who lives nearby.

Smedley has lived in Ocoee for the last three years and shared that the farm is beautiful and a great part of the area.

The fire marshal on the scene said they are just beginning their investigation and the cause of the fire has not been determined.

The owner of the farm explained while it hurts that they lost all the eggs, they will move their chickens to other farms to keep their business going.
