ORLANDO, Fla. — The 37-year-old man suspected of trying to kidnap a child in Orange County posted bond and left the Orange County Jail on Wednesday morning, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

According to deputies, Vinh Nguyen is suspected of approaching and grabbing a child near the intersection of Semoran Boulevard and Dahlia Drive in East Orange County on Monday, and trying to lure the child to his SUV. 

He is charged with false imprisonment, luring a child and battery.

Nguyen posted a total of $3,250 in bond: $3,000 on the false imprisonment charge, $150 on the luring or enticing a child charge and $100 on the battery charge.

He was released at 11:02 a.m. EDT and therefore will not appear before a judge Wednesday afternoon.

The Sheriff's Office shared surveillance video of the attempted kidnapping.  

Deputies said the child got away and Nguyen drove off in what is believed to be a white Toyota RAV4. Deputies said the two do not know each other.
