MAITLAND, Fla. — The Florida Film Festival has revealed the lineup for its 2022 program.

​The festival will run April 8-17, with screenings to be held at both Enzian Theater and the nearby Regal theater at Winter Park Village.

For its 31st year, the festival will showcase 167 films—both features and shorts—representing 37 countries, according to a news release.

The festival will kick off with the documentary “Pre Fab,” which focuses on drummer Colin Hanton and The Quarry Men—the band that would later evolve into The Beatles.

Other notable films that will be part of the lineup, include Sundance Film Festival winners “892,” “The Territory,” and “Warsha.”

There will also be several Florida films showcased this year, including “Surviving Pulse: Life After a Mass Shooting.”

“We are incredibly proud to have the opportunity to present these artists’ extraordinary work, and we could not be more thrilled about introducing these talented filmmakers and bringing such an entertaining and diverse group of films to our audience,” said Matthew Curtis, Florida Film Festival’s programming director, in a statement. “This year’s lineup includes 84 women and 8 non-binary filmmakers—the most in our 31-year history and 55% of our total programming—and their voices will be represented throughout every part of the festival.

In addition to screenings, William Shatner is scheduled to make an appearance. The “Star Trek” star will participate in a Q&A following a screening of the 1986 film “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” on April 15.

Organizers say there are plans to have a virtual festival this year. Visions: Presented by Florida Film Festival is expected to launch May 2.
