The ship, the fifth in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, will feature new dining concepts — 1923, which pays tribute to the history of The Walt Disney Company; Worlds of Marvel, which puts diners in the middle of the Marvel universe; Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, which features characters from "Frozen."

During a christening cruise, members of the media were invited to preview the new dining experiences.

All three of the previously mentioned restaurants will be part of rotational dining on the Disney Wish. The concept, unique to Disney Cruise Line, means passengers will rotate to a different restaurant for dinner each evening. The wait staff will also rotate with diners each night.

1923

The restaurant is named after the year Walt and Roy Disney founded The Walt Disney Company and offers a more "upscale" dining experience compared to the other restaurant in the rotation. Also, 1923 is the only one of the three that doesn't offer a show with the meal.

There are two dining rooms — one for Roy Disney and the other for Walt Disney. Inside, the decor is inspired by the glitz and glamour of classic Hollywood. It also takes inspiration from The Walt Disney Company's animation origins, with sketches, drawings and props on display throughout the restaurant.

As for the menu, the dishes pay tribute to the company's California ties, with some referencing specific places in the names, such as the Split Napa Baby Romaine Lettuce, the Riverside Roasted Green Circle Chicken and the Los Feliz Lobster Salad.

Worlds of Marvel - Avengers: Quantum Encounter

At the Worlds of Marvel restaurant, diners take part in Avengers: Quantum Encounter. The show includes a special presentation hosted by Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, and Hope van Dyne, aka The Wasp, who are showing off the latest super hero technology.

In the dining room, large screens on the walls show the presentation as well as scenes from Marvel movies and details about different characters in the MCU.

Of course, the presentation doesn't go as planned, and a villain shows up to steal the technology. From there, diners are called upon to help Captain America, Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel save the day. Part of the participation includes using Quantum Core devices located on each table. The devices light up during different parts of the show.

The team worked the story around the dinner service to ensure diners can catch all the action happening around them.

"We have a 10-minute countdown from Friday, so that's when the servers know to take the orders and get the beverages poured" said Danny Handke, senior creative director with Walt Disney Imagineering. "Then we have our first segment with Ant-Man and The Wasp, and then about 25 minutes of what we call our tech showcase, then we have our second segment and then another 20 minutes before the finale—and that's when the dessert service will be coming in at the tail end of that."

The menu also puts diners in the middle of the Marvel universe, with dishes inspired by different fictional locations such as Wakanda and Sokovia. Items include Smoked Bao Buns, Cream of Porcini Mushroom Soup, and the Golden Mystic Pasta.

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure

The other rotational dining experience offered on the Disney Wish is Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure.

To make their way to the dining room, diners will venture through a castle hallway filled with portraits referenced in the "Frozen" films.

For this dinner show, diners are essentially guests attending Anna and Kristoff's engagement party. Set after the events of "Frozen 2," the show mostly takes place on a stage in the center of the dining room and features appearances by Oaken, Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. However, characters also make their way around the dining room to interact with party guests.

The show also features plenty of music, including a fun twist on "Let It Go" performed by Oaken and Kristoff.

The restaurant is also equipped with lighting effects, including fiber-optics in the ceiling for a special moment in the finale.

The menu includes Nordic-inspired dishes. For appetizers, there's Anna's Koldtbord, which includes salmon, trout, shrimp, honey dill mustard and crispbread. There are also entrees with roasted pork tenderloin, salmon and sea bass.

The Disney Wish is scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage on July 14.
