TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A 71-year-old Brevard County man is custody after the FBI said it uncovered a video of him raping a toddler, a criminal complaint alleges.

  • FBI: Attack on 2-year-old girl taped
  • Video created on June 17, 2015

Ronald Brouillard has been locked up since Monday after agents with a warrant searched his home on Margie Drive and found a video of him attacking a 2-year-old girl.

The nearly 4-minute recording shows him removing the girl’s diaper before completing the attack, federal prosecutors allege.

Brouillard admitted he made the video on his cell phone, according to a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Federal prosecutors charged Brouillard with one count of producing child pornography. The crime is punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison.

Brouillard has not yet entered a plea.

He has not asked to be released from custody. As a result, he remains behind bars as a federal inmate at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility in Sanford.

Agents say the video was made in 2015. They traced it to Brouillard after an FBI agent downloaded it and other illegal images during an undercover child-porn operation in 2019. Another officer, an Orange County deputy sheriff, also downloaded child porn for the investigation.

The officers traced the images to a computer addresses linked to Brouillard and found 289 online files. An FBI agent found videos showing girls between 2 and 12 performing sex acts on men. Some of those videos showed a woman performing acts on the girls.

Agents seized 15 items during Monday’s search at Brouillard’s house, including a 750-gigabyte hard drive. An initial review found two child-porn videos, according to the complaint.

Agents said the video resulting in the charge against Brouillard was created June 17, 2015.
