Despina Barton joined the Spectrum Sports team as a multimedia journalist in February 2012.

She currently anchors Spectrum Sports 360 and reports daily sports features for Spectrum News 13, including pieces on the University of Central Florida, the Orlando Magic, and Orlando City.

Before joining the Spectrum Sports team, Despina worked as a marketing assistant for Bright House Sports Network and spent time as an associate producer for Ivanhoe Broadcast News.

She also has worked as member of the production crew for Fox Sports Florida, ESPN, TNT, and NBA Entertainment.

Her favorite stories to have covered include the Orlando Magic playoffs, UCF football’s 2017 "national championship" run, and Tiger Woods' return to Bay Hill.

Despina graduated from UCF with a degree in radio/television broadcast in 2010 and is a proud alumna. She also serves as a mentor through the Nicholson School of Communication and Media and is a member of the Church Street District Main Street Board.

In her spare time, she is trying out new restaurants, organizing Bingo night with friends, and exploring all of the downtown Orlando running trails with her two dogs. She also enjoys traveling to new cities, plans to visit every NFL stadium, and loves learning and immersing herself in new cultures.
