PALM COAST, Fla. — One mother in Central Florida wants to make sure people with autism have time to socialize together.

Carrie Todd, whose son Aidan has autism, created a Palm Coast autism support group. The group meets every other Tuesday at the Palm Coast Community Center so they can do activities together.

One in 44 children in the United States are on the autism spectrum, according to the CDC.

Males are four times more likely than females to end up on the spectrum, the report stated.

Todd believes everyone with autism has so much more to offer.

“Everyone on the spectrum is unique. Just like you and I. There is no blood test that they can take to say they have autism. Everyone is just unique. They have different challenges and strengths,” she said.
