CENTRAL FLORIDA — Select U.S. post offices will open from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19 to help provide customers with more opportunities to complete last-minute holiday shipping, the U.S. Postal Service announced Thursday.

Those post offices will provide full retail services, including stamp sales and package acceptance.

The post offices opening Sunday in the Central Florida and Tampa Bay areas include:

  • Lakewood Ranch,  5910 Post Boulevard in Bradenton
  • Cape Coral Central, 1030 SE Ninth Avenue, in Cape Coral
  • Clearwater, 100 S Belcher Road in Clearwater
  • Largo, 50 Eighth Avenue South in Largo
  • Suntree,  6105 N Wickham Road in Melbourne
  • West Melbourne, 2305 Minton Road in Melbourne
  • Naples,  1200 Goodlette-Frank Road North in Naples
  • Coco River, 1130 Creekside Parkway in Naples
  • City Center, 4975 City Hall Boulevard in North Port
  • Oldsmar, 3905 Tampa Road in Oldsmar

Some post offices already offer extended weekday and Saturday hours.

As a reminder, the USPS recommends the following mailing and shipping deadlines for expected delivery on or before Christmas Day:

  • Dec. 17 – First-Class Mail
  • Dec. 18 – Priority Mail
  • Dec. 23 – Priority Mail Express
