KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Spring is in full swing at Gaylord Palms Resort with the arrival of another family-friendly event, Once Upon a Spring.

What You Need To Know

  • Gaylord Palms' Once Upon a Spring event

  • The event includes a number of spring-themed activities

  • Eggspression Garden features large Easter eggs and offers photo opportunities

The lineup of activities include an interactive show filled with fairytale characters and stories, a walkthrough garden with giant Easter eggs and an art bar featuring colorful cocktails and mocktails.

With the Paint Me A Fairytale interactive show, visitors will see fairytales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and more come to life. The 30 minute long show features Mother Goose, who acts as a narrator. She’s joined by a group of “Pages,” performers who act out the stories. The show combines music, dancing and some humor.

The show will have capacity limits to allow for social distancing. Tickets cost $16.99 per person and must be reserved in advance.

For something that offers photo opportunities, visitors can head to the Eggspression Garden. The walkthrough experience, located in the resort’s atrium, features large Easter eggs, a giant chocolate bunny, and tulips.

And for refreshments, there’s the new ART bar, where visitors will find cocktails for the adults and other festive, non-alcoholic beverages that children can enjoy. The drinks have clever names like Spring Fever, Secret Garden and Over the Rainbow, a mocktail visitors can put together themselves.

Other activities include an evening light display in the atrium, a scavenger hunt, cookie decorating and a character breakfast with Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny.

Gaylord Palms has several health and safety measures in place as it has had with other events during the pandemic. Face masks are required. And social distancing protocols are also in place.

Once Upon a Spring runs March 12 through May 16, with some activities taking place on select dates. Tickets for select activities can be booked online in advance.
