PALM BAY, Fla. -- A 24-year-old man was shot and killed near a Palm Bay park early Sunday, according to police.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Alfonso Avenue SE, near Liberty Park, after reports of shots fired.

Ashanti Jenkins, of Melbourne, was found dead at the scene. Police said he had been shot multiple times.

Investigators conducted interviews and crime scene technicians collected evidence, but no suspect information has been released.
