New court documents show the man accused of murdering a Winter Park personal assistant confessed to kidnapping and killing her.

Scott Edward Nelson will be charged with first-degree murder and other charges.

Nelson kidnapped Jennifer Fulford from a Winter Park home on Sept. 27, 2017, stole her bank card and vehicle and then drove to a Wells Fargo to withdraw her money, according to an application and affidavit for arrest warrant court document.

He was caught on surveillance video making an unauthorized withdraw from Fulford's bank account, the documents stated.

The documents stated he then killed her as the only witness to the crimes.

Fulford's body was found in a wooded area in Orlando days later with her feet and hands bound and her face was covered with duct tape.

The medical examiner said the cause of death was stab wounds and asphyxia.

Nelson is expected to be charged with:

  • First-degree murder
  • Kidnapping with a weapon
  • Burglary of a dwelling with assault with weapon
  • Carjacking with deadly weapon
  • Robbery with deadly weapon
  • Tampering with witness to hinder communication with a law enforcement officer
