We examine the access to affordable and quality early learning services for the state’s children. We will explore early learning programs, healthy development, and various children’s programs surrounding child welfare, poverty and children with unique abilities. The Florida Department of Education estimates as many as 700,000 Florida children attend some type of early learning program. We weigh the benefits, challenges and areas of improvement.
