ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Typhoon Lagoon water park will reopen this month as Disney’s other water park closes for refurbishment.

On Thursday, Disney announced that Typhoon Lagoon will reopen March 19. Blizzard Beach will begin its closure the same day.

Disney has not announced a reopening date for Blizzard Beach.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney World has not had both of its water parks open at the same time.

When Typhoon Lagoon reopens, the menu will feature new treats. A few additions include a grilled pineapple flatbread and new Dole Whip flavors such as watermelon, mango, pineapple, strawberry and raspberry.

There also will be a new drinks offerings for adults, including the Kungaloosh Kooler, a Strawberry Dole Whip swirled with a mix of rum, orange juice and blackberry brandy floated with Strawberry Fanta.

H2O Glow After Hours, the separate-ticket nighttime event, will return to the park May 20. The event, which runs select nights through Sept. 2, includes a DJ dance party, complimentary snacks and access to the park’s attractions.

Tickets for H2O Glow are $75 for adults and $70 for children ages 3-9.
