LAKELAND, Fla. — The annual Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo is celebrating 50 years.

What started in the early 1970s as a fly-in for airplane enthusiasts has now grown to one of the biggest aviation gatherings in the world, with over 200,000 visitors flocking to central Polk County.

The Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo continues this year with attractions returning, along with several new experiences that will debut at the 2024 Expo from April 9 - 14 at the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport.

The celebration kicks off with an opening day concert featuring country music performer Dylan Scott and special guest Sara Evans playing live for an unforgettable evening of entertainment at 6 p.m. on April 9.

The concert is included with the daily expo admission, offering attendees an exceptional entertainment experience as part of the milestone event.

Other events include airshows, aircraft tours, forums, workshops for pilots and other entertainment.
