Former UCF linebacker Shaquem Griffin ran a 4.38 40-yard dash Sunday at the 2018 NFL scouting combine.
It’s the fastest time for a linebacker at the combine since 2003, according to the NFL. Griffin ran a 4.58 in his second attempt.
Griffin has had a big weekend. On Saturday, he performed 20 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press, using a prosthetic on his left arm. He was born with a deformed left hand which was amputated when he was a child.
Griffin closed his UCF career as MVP of the Peach Bowl, helping the Knights defeat Auburn 34-27.
