A 71-year-old Lake County man is facing capital sexual battery charges after investigators say he inappropriately touched a juvenile girl.

Scott Saul Weingeroff of Groveland is also charged with multiple counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and exposing himself.
Deputies were called Monday morning after a woman reported that her granddaughter told her that Weingeroff had "hurt her" and "scratched" her private area. The girl said Weingeroff had come into her bedroom on more than one occasion and inappropriately touched her, an arrest affidavit said.
When the woman asked her granddaughter why she hadn't said anything earlier, the girl said she was told not to tell anyone, the report said.
Investigators made contact with Weingeroff, who "openly said he had done something that he should not have and that he knew it was wrong," the affidavit said. Weingeroff told deputies that things "had gone a little too far." Deputies said he admitted to exposing himself to her.
Weingeroff was being held without bond.
