ORLANDO, Fla. — We had a cold start to our Wednesday with morning temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Some of our northern spots dropped into the low 40s. We had plenty of sunshine for the afternoon, but temperatures did not climb much.

A decent breeze out of the north kept pushing cooler air in and highs only made it into the upper 50s to low 60s. We’ll gradually start to warm back up over the next few days.

Clear skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. It will be cold with lows falling into the upper 30s to low 40s. Some of our northern spots will get close to freezing, so take precaution with outdoor plants and animals.

Plenty of sunshine will stick around for Thursday with dry air remaining in place. Temperatures will start out chilly, but warm up a little more for the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid to upper 60s for most.

We’ll continue to warm up more as we head toward the weekend with highs back in the upper 70s by Saturday. This warm up will be short-lived with another cold front moving in on Sunday. This front will bring showers and storms to end the weekend and colder air again by Monday.

It will still be cool, but if you are heading to the beach, watch for choppy seas and a moderate rip current threat. Small crafts should also exercise caution.
