Two men arrested Thursday night are persons of interest in a shooting that left a man in critical condition, Sanford Police said.

Darren Darius Semprit, 22, incurred multiple gunshot wounds and is in critical condition at Central Florida Regional Hospital, according to Sanford Police spokeswoman Bianca Gillett.
The two people of interest, Mikel Gilcrist and Shedrick Knight, were arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding, and police think they're involved in the shooting, Gillett stated.
Major crimes investigators and crime scene technicians are processing evidence and executing search warrants.
The investigation is ongoing.
