A Central Florida firefighter who’s been missing for nine years has officially been declared dead.  A Brevard County judge signed the death certificate for Brandy Hall Tuesday afternoon.

Police have not charged anyone with Hall's disappearance.

Hall, who worked as a volunteer firefighter, was last seen on surveillance video leaving the Malabar Fire Station on August 17, 2006 around 11 p.m.

Hall’s truck was found the next day at the bottom of a pond in Palm Bay not far from the fire station. Investigators said there was a substantial amount blood inside her truck. Her fire gear was also found in the pond.

About a year later, a bag with some of Hall’s belongings was found by a fisherman in Vero Beach and her helmet was also eventually found. But Hall’s body was never found.

Hall has two children who are now teenagers. Court records indicate it was Hall’s now-adult daughter who requested that the judge declare her mother dead.
