Diego Duran, the boy struck by a stray bullet on New Year's Eve, continues to improve, according to posts on a specially-designed Facebook page.
The Friends of Diego Duran page says the boy is eating and drinking more.
It also says he was able to sit in a chair for a half hour.
He still faces cognitive problems and has a hard time answering normal questions.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has not arrested anyone for firing the shot that hit Diego in the head.
Diego was outside his Tampa home with his mother on the holiday when the bullet struck him.
