ORLANDO, Fla – Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom will feature a few new additions this year.

  • New offerings coming to Mickey's Not-So-Scary
  • New fireworks show called Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
  • Select attractions to get Halloween enhancements

The after-hours Halloween event will include a brand-new fireworks spectacular called Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, Disney revealed Wednesday. In the show, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas will play host, telling a "not-so-scary tale about Halloween night.

"Jack's ghost dog, Zero, then flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends—Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy—find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house," according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.

In addition to fireworks, the new show will also feature projections, lasers, and lighting effects.

Many of the park's attractions will be open for the event, with some receiving Halloween-themed enhancements. The cast at Monsters Inc Laugh Floor will interact with visitors as they try to learn more about the holiday humans call Halloween. Pirates of the Caribbean will feature live pirates in search of treasure, while Space Mountain will go "completely dark" and feature a new soundtrack.

Other activities include the Hocus Focus Villain Spellacular, Mickey's Boo to You Halloween Parade, the Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball and the Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam.

Visitors will also be able to trick-or-treat throughout Magic Kingdom.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights from August 16 to November 1.
