ORLANDO, Fla. – Disney Parks has teamed up with rideshare service Lyft to make transportation easier for theme park guests.

  • Lyft becomes official rideshare of Disney World, Disneyland
  • Partnership include improvements to Disney World service
  • The app updates will roll out this fall

Lyft is now the official rideshare partner of Disney World and Disneyland, Disney announced Tuesday.

"This year, Lyft will continue to celebrate the magic of Disney by expanding Lyft's presence at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort," Lyft Chief Business Officer David Baga said in a statement.

As part of the partnership, Lyft will make updates to the Disney World service.

"The update will make it easier to request a Minnie Van ride, find the most convenient pickup location and even select a wheelchair accessible vehicle," according to Lyft.

The enhancements are expected to debut this fall.

Speaking of Minnie Vans, Disney used Tuesday's announcement to celebrate a milestone for the polka-dotted fleet. Since launching in 2017, Minnie Vans have provided transportation to over one million guests visiting Disney World.
