ORLANDO, Florida -- The Jedi Training Academy is not closing at Disney's Hollywood Studios, a Disney World spokeswoman said Tuesday.

  • Jedi Training Academy sticking around Disney World
  • Similar experience at Disneyland will end
  • Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge set to open in 2019

The experience, which lets children hone their lightsaber skills before facing off against the Dark Side, will be sticking around.

Meanwhile, the Jedi Training experience at Disneyland is scheduled to end. The final performance will be on Nov. 3, the Orange County Register reports.

No word yet if a new version of the experience would be included in the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The new land is set to open in California next summer.

In late fall 2019, Disney World will get its own version of the land at Hollywood Studios.

The "immersive" lands will feature two new atractions, a cantina and characters that interact with visitors.
