Saturday night the Orlando Magic’s high flying forward Aaron Gordon will compete in his second NBA All-Star dunk contest.

Gordon is the only team member to be invited to the All-Star festivities this year in New Orleans and plans to wow once more.

“I get told I got robbed every day,” Aaron Gordon said of last year’s dunk contest. “Every day I get told that I’m robbed –‘hey you got robbed, you got robbed’ it’s like ‘thanks.’”

Obviously we all know Gordon did not win the dunk contest last year but his star has capitulated since--and thanks to him and Zach Levine they put the dunk contest back into the ‘must watch TV’ category.

“You know I saw the dunks it was remarkable, it was remarkable, it was a great show and I am sure this year is going to be the same,” Magic head coach Frank Vogel said.

Preparation was a little different this year for Gordon as he battled a bone bruise in his right foot –missing two games—forcing him to visualize his leaping routines.

Regardless the 21-year old is keeping his game plans under lock and key.

“I bring something pretty original to the dunk contest,” Gordon said. “So that should be fun –I like to think of myself as an innovator and that sense so the creativity is there.”

And so will Stuff—the team’s mascot.

After Gordon was unsure if he was going to use his wing man again---social media says otherwise as Instagram revealed it would be ‘Dunk Story 2..the boys are back’.

One thing we do know--- he isn’t going to Frank Vogel for any advice.

“Yeah he relies heavily on my opinions,” jokingly Vogel said. “On the type of dunks and level of difficulty and the creativity –that was the biggest thing –he was out of ideas.”

On a serious note, Gordon doesn’t believe he was robbed of anything and is eager to show off his passion once more.

“It’s going to be fun for me. I love to dunk –something I’ve liked to do since I was young. I don’t really worry about the expectation or the pressure it doesn’t really matter to me. I am just going to go out there and do my best and put on a performance and whatever happens happens.”

Gordon will be going up against the Clippers Deandre Jordan, Pacer’s Glenn Robinson and Sun’s Derrick Jones Jr. In the Verizon Slam Dunk contest Saturday night at 8 pm on TNT.
