The #11 ranked Lake Mary Rams battled back from an 0-2 deficit to beat  the #4 Spruce Creek Hawks 3-2 on the Bright House Sports Network Volleyball Game of the Week.   The 5-set score was 16-25, 23-25, 31-29, 25-21,18-16.  

Rams sophomore Outside Hitter Rajini Fitzmaurice led Lake Mary’s comeback with 24 kills.  Fitzmaurice has a number of colleges interested in her including USF, Saint Louis, and High Point.   Rams senior Setter Melissa Elias ended the night with 48 assists.  Elias, who switched from Outside Hitter to Setter this season, is committed to the University of Tampa.

Spruce Creek junior Outside Hitter Lindsey Pliapol and senior Outside Hitter Erica Brok led the Hawks to the early 2-0  lead, but Spruce Creek had no answer for the Rams after the start of the third set.  Pliapol finished with 19 kills and is headed to play at USF after she graduates in 2018.   Brok, who had 11 kills, will head to Florida Atlantic to play Sand Volleyball after she finishes high school in 2017.

Lake Mary improves their record to 10-4, while Spruce Creeks drops to 9-3.
