The Orlando Predators announced Tuesday that the franchise has agreed to terms with two-time All-Arena Mac linebacker Aaron Robbins. Now entering his sixth season in the Arena Football League, Robbins is a two-time ArenaBowl champion and has registered 26.5 sacks in his career.

“Aaron is a veteran of Arena Football and brings outstanding leadership qualities to our defense.” said Head Coach Rob Keefe. “He plays with incredible intensity and displays rare athletic ability for a player with his combination of size and strength. Aaron is truly one of the most relentless pass rushers in the game today.”

Robbins (6-4, 280, Wyoming) has spent the past four seasons with the division-rival Jacksonville Sharks, where he totaled 82.5 total tackles with 21.5 sacks, 31.5 stops for loss, eight fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and seven pass breakups. During the 2011 season, he played an integral role in leading the Sharks to a victory in ArenaBowl XXIV.

The addition of Robbins reunites him with Orlando Predators Head Coach Rob Keefe. As a rookie in 2010, Robbins played under Keefe as a member of Spokane Shock and delivered 29.5 tackles with four sacks, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two pass breakups. The season culminated in a victory in ArenaBowl XXIII.

A native of Aurora, Colorado, Robbins played collegiately at the University of Wyoming. As a senior in 2006, he earned All-Mountain West Conference accolades after contributing 31 total tackles with four sacks and 5.5 stops for loss. Prior to entering the AFL, Robbins participated in training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2007.

The Orlando Predators 2015 season opener against the Philadelphia Soul is scheduled for 2:00pm on Sunday, March 29 at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando. Tickets are available for purchase by calling 844-455-PRED (7733).
