Over 100 of the nation’s best football players are in town this week leading up to Saturday’s Under Armour All-America Game at the Citrus Bowl, with twelve of them having ties to the Central Florida and Tampa area.

Players were chosen throughout the year to showcase their skills against fellow top recruits. In the past names such as Jadaveon Clowney, Julio Jones, AJ Green and Jameis Winston have emerged from the bowl game.

With the first day of practice in the books on Tuesday, most of the players reacted to the difference in competition level:

“The competition is the best at this level and at practice right now really it is all about adjusting to the speed of the game. There are some explosive tough guys so really just adjusting on this first day and getting better every day,” – Mt Dora center and Florida commit, Brett Heggie.

“All of these guys are special players and they separate themselves against other people. The competition is very good, it’s very real and it is a good opportunity for me,” - West Orange wide receiver and Oregon commit, Eddie McDoom.
