Recruiting: According to 247sports, Merrick has 32 scholarship offers, including Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Miami and South Carolina. 247sports rates Merrick as the 19th best offensive guard in the country for the Class of 2015.
Fun Facts: Merrick didn’t start playing football until his junior season when he realized his dream of going to the NBA wasn’t likely to happen.
