Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a burglary at a Carmax in Daytona Beach, according to police.

Just before 5 a.m. Monday, a group of people were spotted as they attempted to steal cars from the dealership on Tomoka Farms Road.

When police arrived, the suspects has lined up the cars at the exit gate of the property.

Several suspects fled the scene on foot, while others fled in a black BMW.

The driver of the vehicle attempted to hit a Daytona Beach police officer at the scene, according to an incident report.

An officer attempted to stop the BMW as it sped away toward Interstate 4, but the suspects got away.

Back at the dealership, some of the suspects attempted to break the front gate with a blue BMW.

Two officers had to jump out of the way of the vehicle, which came toward them at a high-rate of speed.

The suspects were unsuccessful at breaking through the gate. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Reginal Florvilos and two juveniles were taken into custody.

According to police, the suspects caused more than $30,000 worth of damage to vehicles, an electric charging station and the dealership’s front gate.
