It’s been a chilly and windy evening, and the conditions will remain poor for the overnight.

A few showers will also be possible along the coast, with overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for Metro Orlando and points west, with feels like temps in the low to mid 30s.

Tuesday will also feature windy and rainy conditions. After a chilly start, clouds will remain in place with a few scattered showers.

The shower activity will likely increase as we move later in the day and evening hours. Winds will also gust at times over 30 mph, and a Gale Warning is in place for the Atlantic waters.

Highs for Tuesday will be in the mid-50s.

Even more rain is likely Wednesday as a powerful storm system develops in the Atlantic. This will bring periods of rain to the area and windy conditions. Highs for Wednesday will be in the mid-50s.

Sunshine returns Thursday, but the coldest air of the season will also descend across the area. Expect plenty of sun but highs only climb into the mid-50s.

Overnight lows Friday and Saturday morning will fall into the low and mid 30s area-wide, with a freeze becoming likely in areas northwest of Orlando.

We will slowly warm for the weekend, with temps back in the 60s and 70s under partly cloudy skies.

A Gale Warning is in effect for Tuesday and recreational boating is strongly discouraged.

Seas will climb to 9-12 feet with wind gust at times over 30 mph in the Atlantic. Surfers will find very poor conditions with a northeasterly windswell.

Any activity in the water is not advised, with a high rip current threat also in place.
