Hurricane Jose has been hanging out in the central Atlantic. It's moving slowly to the east with little change in strength.

Its maximum sustained winds Tuesday evening were at 75 mph. As of 11 p.m., it was 495 miles northeast of the Southeastern Bahamas.

Jose is moving southeast at 9 mph, butis expected to make a slow clockwise loop during the next 48 hours, moving west-northwestward by Thursday.

The storm will be well to the east-northeast of the Bahamas through Wednesday.
