Wednesday will hold a mix of sun and clouds with a slightly higher chance for showers and storms during the afternoon. High temperatures will climb into the mid to low 90s.
More moisture is set to move in our direction, which will increase rain chances quite a bit by Thursday and into the weekend. The added rain will help to drop temperatures back a bit. Highs This weekend will be in the mid to upper 80s, although the high humidity sticks around.
In the tropics, there is a slight chance for the tropical wave that is sending moisture in our direction to possibly take on tropical characteristics. That chance is pretty low and regardless, will cause the potential for rain to increase.
We’re also watching the remnants of Harvey moving over the Yucatan Peninsula. As the remains move into the Bay of Campeche Wednesday, strengthening back into a tropical storm is likely.
The models at this point take a strong system toward the Texas coast. No threat to Florida.
