Clouds will remain in place overnight courtesy of our next storm system beginning to move toward the area.

A few isolated showers will also be possible, but the better rain chances in areas north of Orlando will arrive toward daybreak. Overnight lows will fall into the mid and upper 70s.

Big changes are on the way for Sunday. A cold front will move into the area, bringing clouds and much better rain chances. Expect mostly cloudy skies for much of the day with periods of rain and storms. Heavy rainfall is possible, especially north of Orlando. Highs for Sunday will only be in the mid 80s.

Boaters heading out on the water Sunday should expect poor conditions with periods of rain and storms and breezy conditions.  If you are heading out to the beaches, swimmers and surfers will face a low risk of rip currents. Conditions remain very poor for surfers with minimal swells and wave heights at 2-3 feet.

The high rain chances continue into next week. The front will become stationary over the area, keeping a good chance for showers and storms Monday. Highs on Monday will be in the low 80s. Again, some heavy rainfall is possible.

The front will meander across Central Florida Tuesday and Wednesday, with again high rain chances expected for both days. Highs both Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the mid 80s.

The system will finally lift northward late week, bringing more sunshine and lower rain chances. Temps to close the week will return to the upper 80s and low 90s.

In the tropics, we are watching a new system in the open waters of the Atlantic. This complex is loosely organized and has a low chance of development over the next five days.
