The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye has hired a new general manager.

  • Jacob Kristensen named new general manager
  • Previously worked for COSI in Ohio
  • He speaks several languages

Jacob Kristensen will oversee all operations at the attractions, including business development, marketing and engineering, a press release said.

Kristensen previously worked as the director of sales and development at the Center of Science and Industry in Ohio. At COSI, he was responsible for targeting alternative audiences and creating new programs.

“Jacob Kristensen is a welcome addition to the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye team,” said Patrick Connor, southeast general manager, Merlin Entertainments. “Kristensen’s experience in the industry and proven track record for increasing profitability and attracting new audiences made him a prime candidate for this role.”

Kristensen earned a bachelor’s of science degree in International Tourism from Vatel in France. He is fluent in several languages, including English, French, Danish and conversational German.

Kristensen takes over for Robin Goodchild, who was general manager from the attraction’s opening until January of this year.

The Orlando Eye is located in the I-Drive 360 complex, which includes Madame Tussauds Orlando, Sea Life Orlando Aquarium and Arcade City.
