The Palm Bay Police Department was called at about 6:30 a.m. Monday to the Circle K located on Emerson Drive and Waco Boulevard

Two suspects walked up to the victim's car. He rolled down his window, and the suspects had what appeared to be a gun, police said.

Officers were able to locate the suspects, identified as Courtney Leon Frederick, 20, and Claude Junior Roux, 22, both of Orlando, a short time after the 911 call.

"It was an implied weapon, and the man did decide not to give up his car," Lt. Mike Bandish said. "We are just glad everyone is safe."

Bandish said if you're ever in a carjacking situation, the best idea is to call 911.

"It can go either way in a situation like that, and that’s a decision that victim has to make on their own," he said. "We will get there as soon as we can, but we would rather have them give the car peacefully over and the new will chase down the suspect and do what we have to do."

Frederick and Roux both face charges of attempted armed carjacking.
