On Wednesday, it announced the "Stompin' Gator Off-Road Adventure."

The new attraction will include new stomp buggies that will take visitors along a 15 to 20-minute, half-mile course.

"It's going through mud puddles, over hills," said Mark McHugh, Gatorland president and CEO. "We're going to stock it full of big giant gators that you can drive through. We've got it set up so that we're not going to run over gators, and the gator won't jump into the swamp buggies."

A gator graveyard with real bones will also be part of the off-road adventure.

Gatorland hopes to have the "Stompin' Gator Off-Road Adventure" opened to the public by September.

The expansion costs $2.5 million.
