The attempted abduction happened in broad daylight Sunday at the Wal-Mart located at 904 Cypress Parkway. The man opened his car door and ordered a 10-year-old girl inside.

The girl ran away, Osceola County deputies said.

The suspect was driving a dark red Pontiac Grand Prix. Detectives said it could be a 2008 model. He was last seen wearing a red shirt with a motorcycle on the front and blue jeans.

The man is said to be between the age of 50 and 60.

The case has parents in the area on edge.

Keith Bouthillier, a father of a 3-year-old girl, said he's "disgusted."

"Anybody trying to take a child is just unthinkable," he said. "And obviously, she means everything to me. If something were to happen, I don't know what I would do with myself."
