Police in Satellite Beach are asking for help in finding a man suspected of sexually battering a woman who was reading in her car at a beachside park.

Investigators said the woman was sitting and reading in her car at Hightower Beach Park at about 7 p.m. Sunday when a man pulled her from the car, pinned her to the ground and hit her several times in the face and head.

The woman said the man threatened her life multiple times and sexually battered her in the parking lot. She was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

The man is described as white, between 30-40 years old and about 175 pounds. It's thought he arrived and left in a vehicle.

Investigators said he likely has fresh scratch marks and bruises from a physical fight and may vary his routine this week or be acting unusual.
