Tropical Storm Philippe has merged with a cold front in the western Atlantic and is no longer a tropical cyclone.

The final update had the cyclone located about 290 miles south of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Maximum sustained winds were at 60 mph.

The central minimum pressure was 991 mb, and the storm is rapidly moving to the north-northeast at 46 mph.

The system was a tropical depression for much of Saturday and was upgraded Saturday evening as it neared Cuba.

Philippe moved across the Florida Keys and South Florida, producing heavy rainfall and gusty winds. The strongest winds were over Cuba and the northern Bahamas.

The system was designated a potential tropical cyclone Friday evening. It was upgraded to a tropical depression Saturday morning.

Elsewhere in the tropics, a system in the central Atlantic could become a sub-tropical or tropical system by the middle of next week. The complex will not impact the United States.

Hurricane season officially ends on November 30.
