A homicide investigation is under way after an injured man was found lying in the grass in Orlando, according to the Orlando Police Department.

Police received a call just before 10 p.m. Wednesday about gunfire near the area of West Jefferson Street and North Lee Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found J.P. White, 29, lying in the grass. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
