The place that was once a memorial for the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting quickly transformed into a benefit for those killed.

  • Hundreds attended Broadway with Love, a concert for Pulse victims
  • Broadway stars like Chita Rivera, Kelli O' Hara participated
  • Proceeds from concert will go to equality groups

Hundreds filled the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on July 25 for Broadway with Love: A Benefit Concert for Orlando, which brought together some of Broadway’s biggest stars.

For one night, celebrities paid tribute and showed their support for the LGBT community. Big names such as Chita Rivera, Kelli O’ Hara, Audrea McArdle and Darren Criss participated.

“These are my friends and family,” McArdle said. “This could’ve been any of us.”

Tickets for the concert ranged from $20 to $40 and sold out within a couple of hours of tickets going on sale. The proceeds will go toward three equality groups. A concert DVD and CD will also be released at broadwayrecords.com.
