Tavares Mayor Robert Wolfe, 47, was arrested Friday night after firing a gun during a dispute with his wife, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation was launched early this week after Wolfe’s wife, Sharon, reported he had hit her and threw an object at her while at a bar.
Sharon Wolfe told deputies that in April, her husband fired a gun inside the couple’s bedroom, according to an incident report. According to deputies, they found a bullet hole inside the master bedroom and Robert Wolfe was arrested.
Robert Wolfe was given a $10,000 bond.
According to deputies, he was not charged in the domestic incident at the bar because that case was closed.
