The wife of Tavares Mayor Robert Wolfe has been arrested on a perjury charge.

- Accused of perjury regarding her husband's arrest earlier this month
- Sharon Wolfe was also arrested in January in an unrelated case
Lake County deputies arrested Sharon Wolfe Monday afternoon. The State Attorney's Office issued a warrant for her arrest for perjury.
The perjury charge stems from her husband's arrest earlier this month in which she said he fired a gun during an argument.
Investigators said she gave sworn statements recanting her earlier sworn statements.
Sharon Wolfe was also arrested in January after being accused of beating her twin sister with a fan and a paddle.
