An Ocala man has died after he was found shot several times outside his home Wednesday night.
The Ocala Police Department said just after 8 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 1307 NW 12th Ave. in reference to a shooting.
When officers arrived they found a man, later identified as Mallory D. Moton, lying on the ground in front of the residence suffering from several gunshot wounds, police said.
Investigators said officers immediately administered first aid to Moton and he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
