The four Micanopy children declared missing and endangered last week and turned over by their mother will remain in state custody, a judge ruled Thursday.
Joyce Nieves will get supervised visits with the siblings: Aryanna Nidia Robles-Nieves, 15; Aubriella Dieffenbacher-Nieves, 5; Totty Dieffenbacher-Nieves, 3; and Malachi Dieffenbacher-Nieves, 2.
Nieves brought the children to a Marion County Sheriff's Office substation Tuesday afternoon, several days after they were declared missing and endangered.
Nieves said she is a fit parent and that the Department of Children and Families is wrong in this case.
