Central Florida is in store for a beautiful weekend. Here's the forecast:

  • Lows in the 50s Friday night
  • Highs in the 70s on Saturday
  • Mild afternoons, cool nights

Overnight will be starlit and cooler than previous nights with most of us falling into the mid 50s, which is more typical for this time of year.

Saturday looks to be quite nice. We will continue to have a mostly sunny sky without rain in the forecast, temperatures will be topping out in the mid 70s. Sunday will become a little warmer, with temperatures approaching 80 degrees under a partly cloudy sky.

Temperatures are much closer to our normal average numbers for this time of year, thanks to a cold front that slid through the state. High pressure to our northeast will continue sending us a north wind through Saturday morning.

Then, as the high migrates east, our wind will be turning more out of the east through the weekend.

Tonight's lows will mostly dip down into the mid 50s and then rise back into the mid 70s on Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be warmer with highs close to 80 degrees in most places.

A storm system evolving and spreading rain through Texas into Louisiana this weekend will primarily migrate north of us early next week. However, some rain will spread our way, bumping up our chances by Tuesday.

High temperatures next week will be back into the low 80s.

Surf conditions are forecast to be poor Saturday with wave heights expected around 2-3 feet. Rip current risk remains moderate. The UV index is 6 on a 1-12 scale.
