Two people are under arrest in Orange County after deputies say they broke into a home in Dr. Philips and then lead authorities on a chase.

The break in happened at a home on South Park place. Investigators say the suspects were inside the victim’s home when he walked up and caught them in the act of stealing his belongings.

Deputies say the suspects threatened the man with a gun and then took off in a car. The homeowner was not injured.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called and they spotted the car nearby and the suspects fled and the chase was on.

A short while later, the suspects crashed in the area of Willie Mays Parkway and LB McLeod Road. Residents in the area, including Senethia Reed, said they were shaken up by all of the chaos.

“Generally it is safe. So when I saw the police cars I tried to go in both ways and you can’t get in so when I saw the police it was shocking and to not know exactly what is going on is kind of scary,” said Senethia Reed.

The names of the two suspects who were arrested have not been released.
