As election season draws closer, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections office is taking steps to ensure one group of voters doesn't miss out on having their say who is in office.

Many voters cast their ballot via mail, but you might want to consider another voting method.

As of Dec. 31, 2014, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections office says 46,000 voters have had their name fall off the list or expire.

According to Florida law, it happens after two general elections — something many voters might not be aware of.

If you're on that list, look for a reminder postcard in the mail this week. Florida law currently permits voters to request a vote-by-mail ballot for an individual election or all elections through Dec. 31, 2018.
