The search is on for the driver who struck a bicyclist Thursday night in Orlando and then fled the scene, police say.

The hit-and-run happened around 10:44 p.m. near the intersection of North Mills Avenue and Dorcherster Street.

The bicyclist was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The vehicle fled the scene. Police said the bicyclist wasn't wearing a helmet.

No other information was immediately available.
